Who are we?
Hart & Flowers is Sarah Hart and Sarah Walton, a florist duo with a particular love for wedding floristry. We work out of studios both in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast, and service regions as far north as Noosa and as far south as Lennox Heads, including the hinterland.
A Flower Story
Our names and love for flowers are just two of the things we have in common (we're both named Sarah-Jane!). We share the same birth month, love a good natter over a cup of Earl Grey, and going on adventures with our four crazy toddlers, Quinn, Esme, Jude and Rosa.
We first met as students in the beautiful Cornish countryside, England, where we couldn’t fail to be inspired by the unique landscape that surrounded us. Moors for miles of sunshine yellow gorse and lavender, and lush coastal vistas of palm trees, ferns and succulents.
This birthed in us a love for nature and flowers in particular, which has led us to where we are now.
Sarah Hart
Following a BA in Fine Art, Sarah Hart’s floristry journey began with a professional qualification in floristry in 2010. After her experience working as a retail florist both in the UK and Australia, Sarah officially launched Hart & Flowers in 2014.
Sarah Walton
Sarah Walton first worked in publishing. After collaborating with 'Harty' on her own wedding flowers, she discovered a love of floristry and began to imagine a career change. After some time working as Harty’s apprentice, 'Walton' made the leap and is now an experienced florist on her own merit.
After working together for a number of years, we have developed a floral style that is defined by our love for the unique colour, shape and texture of the flowers we work with, and our passion to bring the best that nature has to offer to your wedding or event.
We love what we do and consider it an honour to play such an important part in your special day. All of the joy and excitement for such a wonderful occasion is contagious, and for us there is no greater reward than the look on a bride’s face when she first sees her bouquet.
